take note...

“The majority of people have successfully alienated themselves from change; they tediously arrange their lives into a familiar pattern, they give themselves to normalcy, they are proud if they are able to follow in auspicious footsteps set before them, they take pride in always coloring inside the lines and they feel secure if they belong to a batch of others who are like them. Now, if familiar patterns bore you, if normalcy passes before you unnoticed, if you want to create your own footsteps in the earth and leave your own handprints on the skies, if you are the one who doesn't mind the lines in the coloring book as much as others do, and perchance you do not cling to a flock for you to identify with, then you must be ready for adversity. If you are something extraordinary, you are going to always shock others and while they go about existing in their mundaneness which they call success, you're going to be flying around crazy in their skies and that scares them. People are afraid of change, afraid of being different, afraid of doing things and thinking things that aren't a part of their checkerboard game of a life. They only know the pieces and the moves in their games, and that's it. You're always going to find them in the place that you think you're going to find them in, and every time they think about you, you're going to give them a heart attack.”   -C.JoyBell C.

stunning

kind words from a kind friend.

You definitely need time to date yourself, to be on your own. Every woman needs to have that experience. That's how you build your confidence and how you realize your potential and your strengths and weaknesses. That is how you grow. You are very ambitious and you should surround yourself with people that support that, but most important you should support yourself and the rest would just be a bonus.

You're either born with it, or you're not.
“I consider myself a stained-glass window. And this is how I live my life. Closing no doors and covering no windows; I am the multi-colored glass with light filtering through me, in many different shades. Allowing light to shed and fall into many many hues. My job is not to direct anything, but only to filter into many colors. My answer is destiny and my guide is joy. And there you have me.”

I don't even like Kobe. But this suit is just spot on.
You're the Northern Wind
Sending shivers down my spine
You're like falling leaves
In an autumn night

You're the lullaby
That's singing me to sleep
You are the other half
You're like the missing piece

Oh my love
Oh my love
Oh my love
You don't know
What you do to me, to me

You are all four seasons
Rolled into one
Like the cold December snow
In the warm July sun

I'm the jet black sky
That's just before the rain
Like the mighty current
Pulling you under the waves

Oh my love
Oh my love
Oh my love
You don't know what you do to me
To me
I'm the darkest hour
Just before the dawn
And I'm slowly sinking
Into the slough of despond

Like an old guitar
Worn out and left behind
I have stories still to tell
They're of the healing kind

Oh my love
Oh my love
Oh my love
If I could just
Find you tonight
If I could just find you tonight
Oh my love

The best thing KW dropped, ever.
How soulful is he here?
Wish he would go back to this.

Lord I don't know which way I am going
Which way the river's going to flow
It just seems that upstream I keep rowing
Still got such a long way to go
Still got such a long way to go

And that light hits your eyes
I know I swear we'll find somewhere
The streets are paved with gold

Bullets fly split the sky
But that's alright sometimes sunlight comes streaming through the holes

I watched the rain today;
studied close, as it collided
with the pavement,
and dispersed,
and it
reminded me
of the way I
fell into you
helplessly
hopelessly
and in entirety;
the whole
of myself,
crashing down
and becoming lost in you,
while your attention was
ever occupied
by every other
drop
of water
that
floated
so lightly down to kiss your skin.

“Pain is a pesky part of being human, I've learned it feels like a stab wound to the heart, something I wish we could all do without, in our lives here. Pain is a sudden hurt that can't be escaped. But then I have also learned that because of pain, I can feel the beauty, tenderness, and freedom of healing. Pain feels like a fast stab wound to the heart. But then healing feels like the wind against your face when you are spreading your wings and flying through the air! We may not have wings growing out of our backs, but healing is the closest thing that will give us that wind against our faces.”                                - C. JoyBell C.

We always hear this, or we always think this, or we’re guilty of saying this:

“I still love them so much, but it’s just not right” or “As much as it’s hard to believe, I love him”

The reality is that love is really so minor; a minor part of the equation of life. Love is a conscious feeling that grows within people. It’s a feeling of admiration, appreciation, understanding- all good things. However, it is those unconscious feelings and urges that really, really matter. This is passion. This is impulsiveness. This is finding clarity when you’re in a mess. This is feeling things that we were unaware of- exciting things.

Love is not, and never will be enough, to satisfy your needs as a human being. Don’t settle for love.

Love is a word that we have placed too much emphasis on.

Above all, don’t aim to fall in love, aim to fall into happiness and beauty. Here you will truly blossom into the amazing person you are.

....I have no idea where any of this just came from. But there it is. Today’s clarity from yours truly.
