This week I had the pleasure of attending a show at Brixx in Edmonton where Canadian hiphop artist, Shadrach Kabango AKA Shad put on an incredible show, presented by Scion, at an extremely intimate setting. Though Shad has already released three albums, his presence on the international stage is limited, and this is a shame. I have seen many artists live, and to be completely honest with you, Shad ranks in my top 5, passing many top 40 artists. There was something intriguing and brilliant about his lyrics and his ability to improvise was, for the lack of a better word, 'dope'. Shad's latest album TSOL was nominated for the 2010 Polaris Awards and won the Juno Award for Rap Recording of the year at the 2011 Juno Awards.
